I’ve been waiting for this wedding day for a long time now, and I was so excited to photograph a wedding in Downtown Atlanta. I’ve known Kimberly for years. We met when we were lifeguards together in high school, and we always had so much fun together. Kimberly is one of the most generous, kind, and loving people you will ever meet. She has such a heart for people. I always remember her telling me I would photograph her wedding… that was before she was even dating Austin.

When I met Austin, I saw how perfect these two are together. We joke about how awkward they are and how much direction they need, but in all seriousness, they are both SO photogenic. Their first look was the sweetest. As we prepped and placed them, you could tell how ready Austin was to see Kimberly and his reaction was just adorable. He started to tear up and immediately reached for his Bride. For those that think a first look takes away from the excitement and anticipation of seeing each other for the first time as the bride walks down the aisle, I hate to tell you, but you’re wrong. Austin has just as much emotion and cried as he saw Kimberly walk down the aisle arm in arm with her Dad.

Their wedding day was a perfectly planned masterpiece. We were 30-40 minutes ahead of schedule the ENTIRE day. My second photographer, Sarah, and I were able to walk down to Starbucks before the ceremony because we were so ahead of schedule thanks to Karen with Pop + Fizz | Event Planning and Design. Karen and her team are always amazing and executed every detail with precision.

Austin and Kimberly had such a wonderful and supportive wedding party. They were so much fun and so attentive to what Austin and Kimberly needed throughout the day. Kimberly’s bridesmaids were so incredibly sweet. I honestly felt so undeserving of the compliments they gave me throughout the day. They were so kind, inclusive, and helpful…. just like Kimberly. It’s no wonder they are all such great friends and family members!
