We’ve had the yuckiest weather in Virginia recently, and we had to reschedule their engagement session twice, but I’m so glad we did. Even though it was quite windy and chilly, it was a gorgeous day and Sweet Briar College was the perfect location for this fall engagement shoot.

You know how fun it feels to be around a couple that you just met but who makes you feel like you can totally be yourself? That’s how I felt around Sam and Laryssa! These two are incredibly laid back and joyful. Their entire engagement session was filled with shivers, laughter and lots of jokes, and I loved every second of it!

These two are having a quick engagement, and I think it suits them perfectly. Sam and Laryssa are so in love it almost hurts, and they cannot wait to get married. They look at each other most admiringly and Laryssa has one of the most beautiful smile’s I’ve ever seen. I’m sure you can imagine, I said “awww, you guys are so cute!!” a lot during their session.

Meeting Sam and Laryssa were just perfect, and now these two will be like old friends when I arrive to photograph their wedding. With the crazy weather we’ve been having; Laryssa and I are hoping their January wedding will have some snow. We know it’s a lot to wish for, but a photographer can dream. Right? But wouldn’t it be so beautiful?
